Federal government should heed Constitution

Published: November 3, 2012

I agree with Graydon L. Persing (Your Views, Oct. 31). Our schools should reach out for copies of the Constitution and teach our children about what it stands for. My 14-year-old grandson has no idea what the Constitution is or what it says. The federal government has gotten too large. Out-of-control czars aren't the answer for a democratic society. They should be gotten rid of. This administration has continually lied to the people of the best nation in the world. Redistribution and class warfare are things of the past; the deficit needs to be taken care of promptly. The federal government doesn't need its hands in every program if the states can do a better job managing them. The need to repair our relations with friendly nations, specifically Israel, is a must.

Our children need to have trust in God, just as our nation does.
