Federal officials cite Seminole meat processing plant for worker safety violations

SEMINOLE — Federal regulators have cited Sigma Processed Meats Inc. for 16 serious safety violations after an inspection found employees were exposed to fall dangers and other hazards at the firm's Seminole processing plant.

The violations, cited by the U.S. Labor Department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration , carry proposed penalties of $204,800.
