‘Feed The Children’ fight rages

Feed The Children was controlled last year by a board of eight directors that included charity President Larry Jones, a veterinarian and a car dealer.

Jones had six directors removed in December after he found out they planned to force him to take a sabbatical. Top-level Feed The Children employees — accused of conspiring with them — were fired. The fired employees included Jones’ daughter, Larri Sue Jones.

A new board was created, consisting mostly of prominent pastors from across the nation.

Five of the removed directors sued Jan. 30. An Oklahoma County judge last week reinstated them and threw out the new board members. But the judge barred the reinstated directors from taking action against Jones yet. Another hearing is set for Thursday.
