The son of Feed The Children founder Larry Jones has filed a federal libel lawsuit against his sister and five charity directors.

Allen Jones complained his sister, Larri Sue Jones, damaged his reputation when she told directors in April 2008 he "had been diagnosed as bi-polar.” He called her statement false and malicious. He stated it exposed him to public contempt and ridicule. He is asking for more than $100,000 in damages from each defendant.

The lawsuit was filed Tuesday in federal court in Oklahoma City. It is the latest development in the turmoil at the Oklahoma City-based charity.
