"We sent them a letter and pointed out the inaccuracies in their story and they took it down pending further investigation,” Feed The Children spokesman Tony Sellars said Tuesday.

CBS on Feb. 18 reported the charity made inflated and untrue statements about its relief efforts at a camp in Haiti for earthquake victims.

The network also reported: "Most shocking of all: more than two weeks after the quake, Feed The Children, despite its name, wasn’t feeding anybody.”

Feed The Children on Tuesday launched a new Web site, ftcfacts.com, to counter the CBS report.

"The CBS report was filled with inaccuracies and mischaracterizations,” the charity states on the new Web site. "But don’t just take our word for it. Below is the same evidence we provided CBS with a demand to correct their inaccuracies.”

The evidence includes a video of boxes of food being removed from a Feed The Children warehouse in Haiti on Jan. 20 and then being passed out at the camp.

CBS News based its critical account in part on comments made Jan. 30 in Haiti by Rachel Zelon, a former charity vice president. She told The Oklahoman her comments to CBS were 100 percent accurate, but CBS left out the "wonderful things” she also said about the charity.
