3 men sought in northwest Oklahoma City shooting, attempted robbery

Police said one man was shot and another was pistol whipped Monday morning during an attempted robbery at a northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex.

Police are looking for three men wanted in connection with an attempted robbery and shooting at a northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex.

Master Sgt. Gary Knight said a man was outside the complex in the 5500 block of NW 23 about 2:30 a.m. Monday when he was approached by three men. Knight said two of the men had guns and demanded cash from the victim, who was then pistol whipped.

Another man came out to help the victim and was shot. He was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, Knight said.

The three assailants fled on foot. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300.
