Alex man killed in wreck on slushy Grady County road
Cody Alexander, 18, was driving west on State Highway 19 in Grady County when he lost control of his pickup and was hit by a tractor trailer in the eastbound lane, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.
CHICKASHA — A Grady County man was killed Wednesday morning when he lost control of his pickup on a slippery road and crashed into an oncoming tractor-trailer, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

Cody Alexander, 18, of Alex, was driving west on State Highway 19 in Grady County about 7:35 a.m. when he lost control of his pickup and was hit by a tractor-trailer in the eastbound lane, according to the patrol report.
Alexander was pinned in the wreckage for about 45 minutes and was pronounced dead at the scene, the report states.
Troopers said he was traveling at an unsafe speed for the slushy road conditions.
The other driver, Sandford Hicks, 44, of Elk City, was treated at the scene for a hand injury.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
