Crashes on Oklahoma roadways leave three dead

The driver, Clyde Rual Powell, 28, of Durant, and all six passengers were thrown from the vehicle, troopers said.

Miller died at the scene. Powell was stabilized at a Texas hospital, as were three passengers ages 15 and younger. A 33-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl were critically injured in the crash, troopers said.

No one in the car was wearing a seat belt, troopers said

Darrell Wilson, 52, Wichita, Kan.

About 3:15 p.m., Wilson was driving west in a pickup on Peckham Road in Kay County. The pickup left the road in a curve, struck a bridge and then hit a tree.

Wilson died at a hospital in Blackwell, troopers said. A passenger in the pickup was taken to the hospital, treated and released.

Wilson was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.

Dayton Wilson, 21, Broken Arrow

Wilson was a passenger in a car driven by Zachary L. Wofford, 26, of Tulsa. Shortly after 2 a.m., they were westbound on the Will Rogers Turnpike about 2 miles east of Afton when Wofford apparently fell asleep at the wheel, and the car hit a concrete barrier wall and rolled three times, troopers said.

Wilson died at the scene, troopers said. Wofford and another passenger were not injured.

All three were wearing seat belts, troopers said.
