Dense fog advisory issued in Oklahoma

Visibility is reduced in central, southern and western Oklahoma.

A dense fog advisory is in effect for most of Oklahoma until 9 a.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service reports.

Visibility is reduced to less than a quarter of a mile and down to 100 feet in spots, the weather service reports.

Wednesday afternoon will be cloudy and rain chances are moving into central Oklahoma Wednesday night and Thursday.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Wednesday: Widespread dense fog, mainly before 11am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 65. South southeast wind 8 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Wednesday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. South wind 11 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Thursday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a high near 60. Light and variable wind becoming north northeast 10 to 15 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.

Thursday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 38. North wind 5 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
