Name of man shot by police officer in Oklahoma City released

The name of a man shot by an Oklahoma City police officer has been released. Tristen Paul Anderson, 26, was shot and killed Tuesday.

Police have released the name of a man shot and killed in northwest Oklahoma City Tuesday.

Tristen Paul Anderson, 26, of Oklahoma City, is the man who died near the corner of Cashion Place and N Youngs Boulevard Tuesday morning.

Officer Anthony Franklin of the Will Rogers division of the police department is the officer who shot Anderson.

Anderson has a history of arrests, reports police Capt. Dexter Nelson.

Police say he had a gun when he was shot about 8:30 a.m. The gun was a stolen semi-automatic handgun. Franklin and Anderson got into a physical altercation before Franklin shot Anderson.
