TULSA (AP) — A judge has revoked the suspended sentence of a Tulsa man charged with child neglect after police found his 22-month-old daughter locked in a metal dog cage.

Prosecutors asked the judge Thursday to revoke the man's 2-year suspended sentence on drug charges after his recent arrest. The judge agreed and ordered that the man serve 2 years in prison.

The Associated Press is not naming the father to protect the identity of the toddler.

The father was sentenced in August 2012 — about three months before police found the girl locked in the crate and another child wandering around naked outside.

Court records allege the father admitted to taking a cocktail of powerful narcotics, muscle relaxers and drinking beer the day the children were found.

He has pleaded not guilty.
