TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A Tulsa County judge has denied a motion to drop misdemeanor charges against two Tulsa megachurch workers accused of waiting more than two weeks to report the rape of a 13-year-old girl.

A spokeswoman for the District Attorney's Office, Susan Witt, says the ruling was handed down Monday in the case of John and Charica Daugherty, the son and daughter-in-law of Victory Christian Center senior pastor Sharon Daugherty. Both claim they are innocent.

Hearings are set for three other workers next month on the same charges.

An ex-employee, 20-year-old Chris Denman, has pleaded guilty to raping the girl and faces up to life in prison.

A hearing is set on Nov. 29 for another ex-employee, Israel Castillo, accused of making a lewd proposal to a child. He's pleaded not guilty.
