Update: Street reopened in northwest Oklahoma City

The Perimeter Technology Center, 4100 N Tulsa Ave., is closed to the public.

9:40 a.m. Oklahoma City police Capt. Dexter Nelson said the unknown substance turned out to be a gallon of milk that was dropped outside the building. The street has been reopened.

9:35 a.m. Fire Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland said the Oklahoma City Fire Department hazardous materials crew responded and requested the police bomb squad be called. People in the technology center have been told to stay away from windows, he said.

9:05 a.m. Tulsa Avenue is closed between NW 39 Expressway and Perimeter Center Place while police investigate a suspicious substance in a container. The Perimeter Technology Center, 4100 N Tulsa Ave., is closed to the public.
