Temperatures are cooling down this week in Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

Each day through Sunday temperatures in central Oklahoma will remain in the 70s.

There is a slight chance of rain Tuesday night in central Oklahoma.

The forecast for Oklahoma City is as follows:

Monday: Mostly cloudy with a high near 72. North wind between 16 and 21 mph with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Monday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 53. North, northeast wind between 8 and 18 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 72. Northeast wind between 10 and 15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 48. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 77. Calm wind becoming south, southeast between 7 and 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 53.

Thursday: Partly sunny with a high near 78.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 56.
