— Three men were arrested Thursday and taken to the Oklahoma County jail on complaints of attacking a Choctaw woman with a stun gun, Police Chief Conny Clay said.

Devonte Sapp, 20, and Anthony Cooper, 21, both of Midwest City, are being held on $90,000 bail and Orlando Freeman, 22, of Spencer, is being held on $45,000 bail.

Clay said 19-year-old Destiny Stephens was attacked shortly after 5 p.m. Nov. 15.

The suspects did not know the victim, he said.

“They were looking to steal a car, and hers was the one they spotted,” Clay said.

The suspects followed Stephens to her home in Choctaw, where they approached her in her driveway and asked her for directions to Oklahoma City, Clay said.

They used a stun gun on Stephens, who screamed and honked her car horn, he said.

Clay said the suspects drove off in their car and Stephens' neighbor came out of his home and used the victim's car to chase them until he ran out of gas.

One of the men shot at the neighbor but did not hit him.

The neighbor was able to give police a partial tag number and a description of the car.

Complaints against the men include attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy.

Cooper and Sapp have additional complaints against them of shooting with intent to kill and discharging a firearm from a moving vehicle. has disabled the comments for this article.
