COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Benny Feilhaber scored three minutes into added time as Sporting Kansas City earned its fourth consecutive away win by beating the Columbus Crew 2-1 Wednesday in Major League Soccer.
Feilhaber rifled a shot off the crossbar from just outside the box to move Sporting KC into first place in the Eastern Conference.
C.J. Sapong's header gave Sporting a 1-0 lead in the first half, before Columbus equalized when Chad Barson lofted a cross inside the that deflected off Igor Juliao's shoulder for an own goal in the 69th minute.
Jermain Defoe scored from a penalty in the 63rd minute to give Toronto a 1-1 draw with Vancouver.
Vancouver took a 1-0 lead after Darren Mattock scored in the 50th minute.
At Chester, Pennsylvania, Conor Casey scored one goal in the 9th minute and set up another as the Philadelphia Union ended a seven-game winless streak at home with a 3-1 win over the New York Red Bulls.
Casey touched a cross to Fred who slid the ball past goalkeeper Luis Robles in the 51st minute before Bradley Wright-Phillips leveled the scores New York in the 60th.
