This year the WPBA held a last chance qualifying tournament for local residents and six women qualified to play, including Tulsa's Carrie Williams. She has been playing 10 years and fell in love with the game after watching two men playing with thousands on the line.
After that Williams was hooked and has been playing ever since, including smaller tournaments and the occasional large event. But nothing could compare to playing the U.S. Open.
