Final preparations are under way for the 66th annual Oklahoma State Prison Rodeo for Aug. 17-19 in McAlester.

On Aug. 17, the McAlester Downtown Merchant Association will host a concert and street dance with Western Justice. The rodeo at the prison will be at 8 p.m. on Aug. 18 and 19.
Country singer Jason Meadows will perform the national anthem Aug. 18 and put on a concert at 10:30 p.m. at the Choctaw Casino, 1638 S George Nigh Expressway.
The Oklahoma State Prison Rodeo Parade will start at 10 a.m. Aug. 19 in downtown McAlester.
Singer Rhett Akins will perform the national anthem Aug. 19 and put on a concert at the casino after the rodeo.
Rodeo tickets are $15 for a box seat, $10 for a reserved seat and $7 for general admission.
A rodeo ticket stub will be the admission to the concerts and into the $1,000 drawing.
