Agriculture is part of everything and everyone should have the chance to know about it, said the FFA national vice president from Oklahoma.
Laila Hajji of Guthrie was recently elected one of six national officers for the National FFA Organization. Hajji, the central region vice president, is the only national officer from Oklahoma.

As a national vice president, Hajji will share her love of agriculture as she speaks throughout the year with students, leaders and organizations and does her part to help the organization’s goal to have 10,000 quality agriculture education programs in the country by 2015. There are 7,439 now, she said.
Julie Adams, director of marketing and communications for FFA, said in an e-mail that the six national officers are the public face of the national organization and each of them will travel to more than 30 states this year.
Hajji, a Texas Tech junior majoring in agricultural education, said she also plans to share all that agriculture has to offer when she becomes a teacher.
