Fiery crash kills driver Wednesday in Seminole County, Oklahoma

A fatality was reported Wednesday by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. It happened on Interstate 40 in the eastbound lanes.

A person was killed in a crash on Interstate 40 in Seminole County early Wednesday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

The name of the driver had not been released Wednesday evening.

About the crash

The crash happened about 2 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-40 at mile marker 198 about 9 miles north of Seminole, the patrol reported.

The driver was ejected and the car caught fire. It is not known if the driver wore a seat belt. has disabled the comments for this article.
