Fighting fire no gender issue in Flint Ridge

FLINT RIDGE -- Seven of the 16 volunteers who work with the Flint Ridge Fire Department are female. They enjoy their jobs, a report in the Delaware County Journal says, and the fire chief says they handle the responsibilities as well -- or even better in some situations -- as their male counterparts.
