Fillmore Elementary School students in the Oklahoma City district take part in world's largest exercise class

The event was part of Project ACES, a statewide effort to promote healthy eating and exercise habits.

Students at Fillmore Elementary School in the Oklahoma City School District took part Wednesday in the world's largest exercise class.

The event involved students from all 50 states and more than 50 countries exercising simultaneously.

One in three Oklahoma children is overweight or obese, and many young children are already showing risk factors for heart disease, according to state health department statistics.

Project ACES (All Children Exercise Simultaneously) works to promote healthy eating and lifestyle habits in schools throughout Oklahoma.
