Last week: Zack Langer ran for 281 yards at Putnam City Stadium as the Trojans jumped on the SaberCats early and didn’t let up, handing Southmoore its second loss of the season.
Player to watch: Zack Langer, RB. Langer, a junior, is the leading rusher and scorer in Class 6A. Last week, he had 135 rushing yards in the first half. For the season, he has more than 2,200 rushing yards.
Key stat: 35. Consecutive on-the-field wins by Jenks over teams other than Tulsa Union.
News to know: Jenks is in the state championship game for the 12th time in 14 seasons. … Jenks and Union will meet in the state championship game for the seventh time since 1998 and the third season in a row. … No team other than those two has won a Class 6A state title in football since Midwest City in 1995. … Junior QB Sawyer Kollmorgen has thrown for more than 2,200 yards this season. … Jenks OL Bob Graham is committed to Iowa State while OL Jake Alexander is committed to Tulsa. … The Trojans scored 40-plus points 10 times this season, including eight of the last nine weeks.

Last week: Chase Boyce ran for two touchdowns late in the fourth quarter to lift the Redskins to a come-from-behind win at Tulsa University’s Chapman Stadium.
Player to watch: Chase Boyce, QB. The senior has thrown for more than 1,600 yards. Last week, he was also Union’s leading rusher with 79 yards on the ground.
Key stat: 35.9. The Redskins’ average margin of victory in Union’s 11 wins this season before last week.
News to know: Jenks beat Union 27-25 on Sept. 11. … Thomas Roberson, a Tulsa commit, has more than 700 yards receiving. … Sophomore Blace Walser and senior Bobby Lind are the Redskins top two tacklers. … Senior Jarred Davis and junior Jalen Hearron have shared the load at running back this season. Combined, they have more than 1,000 yards rushing. … Last week was the second time in the playoffs the Redskins trailed at halftime. … Cole Way, the brother of former Redskins standout and current OU kicker Tress Way, hit a 42-yard field goal in last week’s win.
