In concert
BETHANY — The Southern Nazarene University symphonic band will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Herrick Auditorium, 6729 NW 39 Expressway. This all-Italian concert will feature Giannini’s "Symphony No. 3,” Persichetti’s "Psalm for Band,” Ticheli’s "Vesuvius” and Respighi’s "Pines of the Appian Way” as well as excerpts from "The Barber of Seville” and "Cavalleria Rusticana.”

Duo piano recital
EDMOND — Husband and wife duo pianists Greg and Miho Fisher will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at UCO Jazz Lab, 100 E Fifth.
Part of the University of Central Oklahoma faculty artist concert series, duo-Fisher will perform two-piano works by Bach, Mozart, Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Saint-Saens and Bolling.

Percussion orchestra concert
NORMAN — The University of Oklahoma Percussion Orchestra and Ensemble, directed by Nathan Daughtrey, Ricardo Souza and Josh Knight, will present a concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Catlett Music Center’s Sharp Concert Hall, 500 W Boyd.
The program includes works by Roland Barrett, David J. Long, John Mackey, David Skidmore, Daughtrey and Souza.

Classic comedy
Jewel Box Theatre, 3700 N Walker, continues its 2009-10 season this month with a production of "Bell, Book and Candle.” John van Druten’s comedy focuses on Gillian Holroyd, a woman who casts a spell on an unattached publisher. He falls in love with her and proposes marriage, but since witches can’t fall in love, Gillian must choose between her fellow witches or true love.
Performances begin Thursday and continue through Dec. 6. Curtain times are at 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays.

Fiddling around
MIDWEST CITY — Rose State College Theatre will present the Tony Award-winning musical "Fiddler on the Roof” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Nov. 15 in the Performing Arts Theatre, 6420 SE 15. Dinner with the Friday and Saturday performances will begin at 6 p.m.

Auditions
NORMAN — Sooner Theatre will hold auditions for its February production of "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the studio, 227 E Main. William Finn’s musical follows spelling bee contestants in their quest for victory.
A collaboration between the Sooner Theatre and the University of Oklahoma’s Weitzenhoffer School of Musical Theatre, "Spelling Bee” will be presented Feb. 5-14.

Biblical story
The critically acclaimed musical "The Rock & the Rabbi” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday in Oklahoma Christian University’s Hardeman Auditorium, 2501 E Memorial.
"The Witness,” part two of the "The Rock & The Rabbi” trilogy, will be presented at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
"The Rock & The Rabbi” explores the friendship between Simon/Peter and Jesus.

Courting disaster
LAWTON — Lawton Community Theatre will present Michael Frayn’s "Noises Off ” at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Nov. 15, 8 p.m. Nov. 19-21 and 2 p.m. Nov. 22 at the theater, 1316 NW Bell. The comedy focuses on a group of British actors who are touring their run-down production through the provinces.

On stage
ENID — Continental Resources is sponsoring a collaborative theater series for the 2009-2010 season. "Lyric Theatre at the Enid Symphony” will feature three Lyric-produced theatrical events hosted by the Enid Symphony. The season opens with "The Wonderful Life of George Bailey,” a 1947 radio play adaptation of "It’s a Wonderful Life.” Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
Scheduled April 27-28 is an encore presentation of the Lyric at the Plaza production of "Driving Miss Daisy.” Bringing the season to a close May 18-19 will be "Renee Anderson Alive,” featuring Lyric veteran Anderson and eight pop musicians who will put their spin on selections ranging from classic and contemporary musical theater to rock and rhythm and blues standards.

Fall exhibit
Opening Thursday at Studio Gallery, 2646 W Britton, is its fall show. The exhibit, which will open with a 6 to 8 p.m. reception, features oils, acrylics, Oriental brush stroke paintings, watercolors, photographs and pastels. Also included are wood turnings by Darrell Baker.

In honor of Veterans Day, veterans and active-duty military will receive free admission Monday to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, 1700 NE 63. All active duty, active reserve, Ready Reserve Service members, National Guard members, Coalition Forces members and retirees, any prior military, American Legion members and VFW members can bring up to five guests free of charge. Military ID is required.

"Lion, Light, Lamb: The Perpetual Picnic, Part II,” a photography exhibit featuring images by Samantha Lamb, is on view through Dec. 27 at the north gallery of the state Capitol, 2300 N Lincoln Blvd. Inspired by agricultural life, the exhibit features bluebonnet fields, meadow grass and Oklahoma sunrises.

Fall celebration
Oklahoma City’s Plaza District, along NW 16 between Indiana and Blackwelder, will celebrate its "Live on the Plaza” event from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday. Marking its grand opening is Shop Good, a business that features socially-conscious, handprinted, Earth-friendly, wearable art. PhotoArt Studios will screen the film "Give thanks … for America!” at 8:30 p.m.

STILLWATER — On view through Friday at the Gardiner Art Gallery, 108 Bartlett Center for the Visual Arts, is an exhibit featuring works by Bachelor of Fine Arts candidates at Oklahoma State University.
