Guest lecture in Norman

— The Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art, 555 Elm Ave. on the University of Oklahoma Norman campus will host OU art professor W. Jackson Rushing III for a guest lecture titled Real Things: Georgia O'Keeffe's “Kachina Pictures” at 4 p.m. Tuesday. The lecture is complimentary and open to the public.

Student exhibit on view

Graduating seniors from Oklahoma City University's art department will present the “2013 Studio Art and Photography Capstone Exhibition” Friday through May 12 in the Nona Jean Hulsey Art Gallery, NW 26 and Blackwelder. An opening reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. For more information, call 208-5230.

Art demonstration

— Oklahoma City artist Eric Spiegel will offer an oil painting demonstration at 7 p.m. Monday at the Fine Arts Institute, 27 E Edwards. Brightmusic season continues

The Brightmusic Chamber Ensemble will present a pair of concerts titled “Bright Tales” at 7:30 p.m. Monday at All Souls' Episcopal Church, 6400 N Pennsylvania, and at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral, 127 NW 7. The program will feature Zoltan Kodaly's “Duo for Violin and Cello, Op. 8,” Carl Maria von Weber's “Clarinet Quintet in B-flat Major, Op. 34” and Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky's “String Sextet in D Minor, Op. 70 (Souvenir de Florence).” Featured performers include violinists Gregory Lee and Hal Grossman, violists Royce McLarry and Mark Neumann, cellists Jonathan Ruck and Tomasz Zieba, and clarinetist Chad Burrow.
