Concert series opens

Exploring world music

— The Sangeet Millennium Ensemble will present a concert of Hindustani and Indo-Jazz fusion at 8 p.m. Thursday in Catlett Music Center's Sharp Concert Hall, 500 W Boyd. Also planned are two workshops, scheduled at 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 12:30 p.m. Friday. As part of the festivities, associate professor of musicology Zoe Sherinian will screen her documentary film “This is A Music: Reclaiming an Untouchable Drum” at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Pitman Recital Hall.
