New exhibit

“Blooming Currents,” an exhibit of works by Oklahoma artist Chad Mount, will open Friday with a 7 to 11 p.m. reception at the Midwestmedia Studio, 1614 Gatewood. Mount's works were inspired by the beautiful mysteries of the ocean abyss. Part of the Plaza District's “Live on the Plaza” event, this “August @1614” show will remain on view through Aug. 31. Museum offer

As part of Bank of America's “Museums on Us” program, Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders will be admitted free Sunday to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum and the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. New exhibit on view

— Opening Friday at the Jacobson House Native Art and Cultural Center, 609 Chautauqua, is “Hasi Nai: This Is Home,” an art exhibit featuring the work of Caddo artists. An opening reception is planned from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibit will remain on view through Nov. 5.
