Fire ants still march into Oklahoma

An invasive pest that has been regulated in Oklahoma for more than 20 years is continuing its march northward and experts say they can only hope to slow its offensive.

The imported fire ant is or has been found in at least 38 Oklahoma counties, and 20 counties are now federally quarantined to prevent their spread, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture . This includes 12 counties in southern Oklahoma added...
