Fire burns two homes in northwest Oklahoma City early Monday

Fire burned two homes overnight in Oklahoma City. A woman escaped injury.

Two homes were damaged by fire overnight, fire Deputy Chief Marc Woodard reports Monday morning.

A vacant house at 801 NW 102 caught fire near NW 102 and Garnett Drive about 3 a.m. The house was destroyed, Woodard said. A house next to it 805 NW 102 was damaged and sustained $60,000 damage.

A woman inside the house at 805 NW 102 escaped.

The 65-year-old woman in the house told firefighters two men who said they are in the Navy helped her escape, Woodard said.

The cause has not been reported.
