Fire crews extinguished a grass fire Thursday in southeast Oklahoma City that threatened several homes.
The fire was reported shortly after 3 p.m., near SE 74 and S Pottawatomie Road. Oklahoma City fire crews responded and requested help from McLoud and Harrah.
The fire approached several homes, but crews were able to get it under control before there was any damage.
The fire burned across several acres, and crews were planning to continue monitoring the area throughout the evening, officials said.
