UPDATE: Firefighters have an Edmond grass fire under control

A grass fire in Edmond is now under control. The fire was in the 2500 block of W Coffee Creek Road.

The grass fire is under control in northwest Edmond Monday, fire Maj. Kelly Lewis said. The fire was under control by noon.

— A grass fire in the 2500 block of W Coffee Creek Road is burning, an Edmond fire official said Monday.

The fire started about 11:30 a.m., fire Maj. Kelly Lewis said. Crews from Edmond, Oak Cliff and Deer Creek responded. Lewis said he did not know how many acres burned.
