Fishing report: Oct. 23

CENTRAL

Draper: Due to pump failure and the lake’s small watershed lake elevation is below normal. Boat access to the lake is poor and a longer walk to bank fish. The main fishing docks are still floating. One boat ramp is barely usable.

Overholser: elevation 4 to 5 ft. below normal, water clear. All fishing fair.

Wes Watkins: elevation normal. Channel catfish fair on chicken livers.

NORTHEAST

Birch: largemouth bass good trolling minnows and jigs. Crappie excellent on black and chartreuse jigs at 12 to 15 ft.

Carl Blackwell: elevation normal, water 77 degrees. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs.

Copan: elevation above normal, water clear. Crappie good on minnows and jigs at 6 to 8 ft. near submerged structure. Catfish slow on chicken liver and cut shad below the dam.

Eucha: elevation slightly above normal, water 60 and murky. White bass good on rooster tails. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 12 to 14 ft. around brush and structure. Largemouth bass fair on plastic baits.

Greenleaf: elevation normal, water clear. Largemouth fair on spinnerbaits and crankbaits along shorelines, rocky points and creek channels. Channel catfish fair on fresh cut bait on bottom near the spillway and creek channels. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 16 to 20 ft. around brush structure and fishing docks.

Hulah: elevation above normal, water murky. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 8 to 10 ft. near submerged structure. Catfish fair on worms and cut shad below the dam.

Sooner: white bass and striped bass hybrids fair on sassy shad and topwater lures in the discharge canal and on live shad and slabs in the lake. Catfish fair on live bait and cut bait around points and channels.

Spavinaw: elevation slightly above normal, water 60 degrees and dingy. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around the dam area. Largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits.

Tenkiller: elevation 9 ft. above normal and falling, water 70 degrees. Largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits and crankbaits at 8 to 10 ft in bushes. Catfish fair on cut bait with flip-flops at 20 to 40 ft.

Webbers Falls: elevation 2 ft. above normal, water murky. Largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits, jigs and worms around riprap, creek channels and brush structure. Channel catfish good on fresh cut bait at mud flats. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 14 to 20 ft. around bridges and brush structure.

NORTHWEST

Canton: elevation 1 ft. below normal. Channel catfish and striped bass hybrids good on shad on the lake side of spillway. Crappie good on minnows and jigs near brush piles on the dam.

SOUTHEAST

Arbuckle: elevation 1 ft. above, water 66 degrees and clear. Crappie being caught on chartreuse jigs off docks and brush piles. White bass are being caught on spoons from surface to 25 ft. Bass being caught on Carolina-rigged crankbaits and spinnerbaits in the shallows.

Blue River: elevation normal, water 57 degrees and murky. Smallmouth and spotted bass fair on topwater lures and soft plastic baits. Channel catfish excellent on chicken liver and nightcrawlers. Flathead catfish fair to good at night on live sunfish or minnows.

Broken Bow: elevation rising. Largemouth bass good on rapalas at 8 to 10 ft. Walleye being caught on crawdad colored crankbaits and jigs around points and structure in the main body of the lake with the new moon phase.

Eufaula: elevation 4 ft. above normal, water murky. Largemouth bass fair on plastic lures around rocky areas. Blue catfish good on shad in the shallow flats.

Hugo: elevation high, water muddy. Blue catfish good on cut shad in the tailwaters.

Konawa: elevation .5 ft. above normal, water 59 degrees and clear. Largemouth bass good on topwater lures and crankbaits at 5 to 10 ft. in schooling bass around points and mouths of coves early and late.

McGee Creek: elevation above normal, water in upper ends is turbid. Catfish fair on prepared baits.

Pine Creek: elevation high, water murky. Bass good in flooded flats. Catfish fair on cut bait near rocky points.

Sardis Lake: elevation 2.5 ft. above normal, water mid 60 degrees. Largemouth bass good on spinnerbaits up the creeks. Crappie good on minnows and jigs in the timber. Channel catfish fair on juglines with cut bait in the main lake.

Texoma: elevation 1 ft. above normal, water 70 degrees and clear south and murky north. Largemouth and smallmouth bass fair to good in the south part of the lake. Striped and white bass fair to good from Platter Flats to the south and west. Channel and blue catfish fair to good from Catfish Bay to the north. Crappie fair in the oxbow lakes with clear water. Sunfish fair to good around the fishing docks.

Wister: elevation 12.5t. above normal, water murky. Largemouth bass good on soft plastic worms and spinnerbaits. Crappie fair on small spinnerbaits, minnows and pink jigs. Channel and blue catfish fair on juglines with cut shad and liver.

SOUTHWEST

Altus-Lugert: elevation 24.5 ft. below normal and steady. Striped bass hybrids good. Catfish fair to good.

Foss: elevation 2 ft. below normal with gates closed, water 65 degrees and clear. Striped bass hybrids fair on slabs in deep water. Walleye fair.

Tom Steed: white bass and striped bass fair on minnows around the main boat ramp.
