Moore Love 5K/Walk

The Moore Love 5K is taking place at 7 p.m. Friday at Lake Hefner's Stars and Stripes Park.

Presented by DG Productions, a member of the Moore community spared by the May 20 tornado, 100 percent of the 5K's registration proceeds will benefit tornado relief.

Packet pickup will be from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday at Red Coyote Running and Fitness, 5800 N Classen. Packets can also be picked up Friday evening before the race kickoff. Registration is $15 per person.

In addition to the usual race snacks, Sean Cummings Irish Pub will be on site providing adult beverages.

KIDS

Bowl for free

Nationwide, more than 1,200 bowling centers will offer kids two free games of bowling every day.

The program is sponsored by the bowling alleys involved to increase interest in the sport.

To register your children, go online to www.kidsbowlfree.com.

Most centers limit the promotion to children 15 and under. The promotion does not include free shoe rental.

The following bowling centers in Oklahoma are participating in the promotion:

Imperial Lanes in Ardmore; Broken Arrow Lanes in Broken Arrow, Frontier Bowl in Cushing; Freedom Lanes in Duncan; Oakwood Bowl in Enid; Great Balls of Fire in McAlester; Green Country Lanes in Muskogee; Sooner Bowling Center in Norman; Heritage Lanes In Oklahoma City; Strikes Family Fun Center in Perry, Sahoma Lanes in Sapulpa; Frontier Lanes in Stillwater; Andy B's in Tulsa and Southwestern Lanes in Weatherford.
