Five teens hurt in wreck near Shawnee

Five teenagers were injured in an early Monday wreck near Shawnee.

Five teenagers were injured in a Pottawatomie County crash early Monday on a dead-end road, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

The wreck happened about 12:15 a.m. on Crosslin Road about a mile south of County Road 1070, about five miles northeast of Shawnee, the patrol reported.

Injured were driver Beau Hart, 16; Travis L. Irick, 15; Carly D. Bussey, 16; Zoey VanLlozen, 13 and Amber VanLlozen, 16. All the victims are from Prague except Zoey VanLlozen, whose address was listed as Lake Dallas, Texas.

The patrol reported Hart was speeding south on Crosslin Road in a small car when the road ended and he drove off the right side of the road and struck an embankment.

All the wreck victims were taken to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Hart was in critical condition Monday, according to an OU Medical Center representative. Irick was listed in serious condition.

Bussey and Amber VanLlozen were listed in fair condition. Zoey VanLlozen was treated and released.

Seat belts were not in use, the patrol said. has disabled the comments for this article.
