LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Las Vegas judge reset an evidence hearing for entertainer Flavor Flav on felony charges stemming from an argument last month with his longtime girlfriend.
The 53-year-old former rap and reality TV star didn't appear in person Tuesday while Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa rescheduled the preliminary hearing for Jan. 23.
Defense attorney Tony Abbatangelo and prosecutor Jake Merback said Monday that witnesses were still being interviewed.
The entertainer's legal name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr.
He could face prison time on felony assault and child endangerment charges in the Oct. 17 incident. He also faces a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.
He's accused of pushing his girlfriend of eight years to the floor and wielding two knives while allegedly chasing and threatening the woman's 17-year-old son.
