Lichtensteiger was hurt in the third quarter of Sunday's NFC East-clinching win over the Dallas Cowboys.

"I wish I was doing better, but it's the hand I'm dealt," Lichtensteiger said. "I really want to be out there, and I'm going to give it everything I can to be out there, but who knows at this point?"

Third-round pick Josh LeRibeus, who played 21 snaps in relief during the Redskins' 274-yard rushing effort against the Cowboys, would likely make his first NFL start if Lichtensteiger can't go this Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.

Linebacker London Fletcher also did not practice because of a sprained left ankle, but he has frequently sat out since he was injured in mid-November. Fletcher has never missed a game in his 15-year NFL career and is expected to play Sunday.

Backup quarterback Kirk Cousins missed practice because of the flu, and nickel cornerbacks D.J. Johnson and DeJon Gomes are both dealing with sprained left knees. Johnson did not practice, while Gomes was limited.

Wednesday also marked the return of cornerback Cedric Griffin following his four-game suspension without pay for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
