Heavy rain is falling in northern Oklahoma for the third straight day, the National Weather Service reports.

A flood warning has been extended to Wednesday evening for Kay County and areas along the Salt Fork of the Arkansas River. Farmland and oilfields are flooded, the weather service reports. Road closures include Fountain Road at U.S. 77 south of Tonkawa and State Highway 156 between Marland and Ponca City.

Heavy rain was being reported in Kay County at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Storm damage has been reported overnight from the Medford area in Grant County. TV images show structure damage. Also, TV reports northeast Oklahoma storm damage in Craig County overnight.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7a.m. Partly sunny with a high near 85. South wind between 16 and 23 mph with gusts as high as 32 mph.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 68. South wind around 22 mph with gusts as high as 31 mph.

Wednesday: Partly sunny with a high near 85. South wind between 22 and 24 mph with gusts as high as 33 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 68. South wind between 18 and 23 mph with gusts as high as 32 mph.

Thursday: Partly sunny with a high near 88. South wind between 20 and 23 mph with gusts as high as 32 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 66.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 90.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 66.
