Flooding closes campground at Lake Wister

WISTER (AP) - State park officials say the Victor Area campground at Wister Lake State Park will be closed throughout the 2008 camping season because of flooding.

Keli Clark with Oklahoma State Parks says there is extensive flood damage to the campground near Wister in southeastern Oklahoma.

The Quarry Island and the Ward's Landing areas and the area below the dam are open. Cabins, picnic pavilions, hiking trails and the spray park are not affected by the flooding and also will be open.
