PAYNE Florence, age 68, lifelong resident of OKC, died Sunday in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Payne was office manager for the Okla. City Council of Campfire Girls for 22 years, before retiring in 1978. She was also a member of the Church of Epiphany of the Lord, a life member of the Deaconess Auxiliary, 1889'ers Society and the Campfire Girls Golden Oldies. She was a graduate of Classen High School in 1937, when she married Rex R. Payne that same year. He preceded her in death in 1978. She is survived by 2 sons, Don R. Payne and wife, Grace of Piedmont, Ok., Floyd C. and wife, Bea of Aurora, Co.; 7 grandchildren, Donald and Joyce Payne of OKC, Daniel Payne of Piedmont, Douglas Payne of Piedmont, Dennis and Rosemary Payne of OKC, Florence Marie and Bob Hopwood of Aurora, Co., Teresa Payne and Floyd Carl Jr., both of Aurora, Co.; 1 great grandson, Jeremy Michael Payne of OKC; and beloved Troy, who cared for her in her later years. Rosary services will be 7pm Tuesday, in the Guardian Midtown Chapel, with Mass at 10am Wednesday in the Resurrection Cemetery Chapel. Directed by Guardian Midtown. The family has designated donations be made to Discalced Carmelite Nuns, 20000 N. County Line Rd., Piedmont, Ok. or to Silent Unity, Unity Village, Mo. BIOG: NAME:
