Flu season continues in Oklahoma

Since flu season began Sept. 30, six people in Oklahoma have been hospitalized with influenza, state health officials reported.

Flu season in Oklahoma continues at a steady pace.

Between Oct. 7 and Oct. 20, two Oklahomans were hospitalized with the flu, according to the state Health Department.

Influenza is a contagious respiratory illness caused by one of two types of viruses, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
