Foes knuckled under to Eddie Fisher
Eddie Fisher learned to throw a knuckleball down in Friendship, the little community six miles east and four miles north of Altus in southwest Oklahoma.
But Fisher didn't use the knuckleball at OU, where he pitched from 1956-58. Jack Baer , a legendary Sooner coach and curmudgeon, didn't like the kunckler. Didn't like it all.
