KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia (AP) — Fog at the top of the course has halted the seeding run for women's skicross.
Eight of the 28 skiers completed their trip down the 1,250-meter course at Rosa Khutor Extreme Park on Friday before officials decided to stop.
Ophelie David of France had the fastest time of the first eight riders, covering the series of rolling mounds, jumps and banked turns in 1 minute, 21.46 seconds.
This is the second event at the park delayed by weather since the games started. The men's snowboardcross event was pushed from Monday to Tuesday because of heavy fog.
Russian skier Maria Komissiarova fractured her spine during a training accident last weekend.
