Cheever's adds Brunch
Cheever's Cafe, 2409 N Hudson Ave., will expand its services to include Saturday brunch and Sunday dinner this weekend.
Cheever's, long an anchor of Uptown, started doing Sunday brunch a couple of years ago, and the popularity has been such that owners Keith and Heather Paul have decided to expand the offering to Saturday.
Cheever's will also add regular dinner service to Sunday nights this weekend.
Chef Brian McGrew's Saturday and Sunday brunch services will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the new Sunday dinner service will run 5 to 9 p.m.
Stella Welcomes Eric Titus
Stella Modern Italian, 1201 N Walker Ave., will host a special wine dinner with winemaker Eric Titus at 6 p.m. Monday.
Chef Jonathan Krell has organized a special menu to pair with Titus wines beginning with Ravioli de aragoste with sausage and sambuca cream paired with Ttitus Sauvignon Blanc.
Next is Duck Pastrami with aged balsamic and roasted plum mostarda di frutta over caraway polenta and Titus Zinfandel.
The main course consists of Beef Short Rib with Gorgonzola sformato, and bitter greens with garlic and chili paired with Titus Cabernet Sauvignon.
For dessert, Dark Chocolate Brownie with Amaretto Black Cherry Gelato and luxardo cherry paired with Titus Petite Sirah.
Cost is $95 per person. The bar opens at 6 with dinner beginning promptly at 6:30 p.m.
