Hensley’s hosts Pork Council Swine and Wine Dinner

Hensley’s Top Shelf Grill, 1551 Garth Brooks Blvd., will host a Swine and Wine dinner sponsored by the Oklahoma Pork Council at 5 p.m. April 27.

The event begins with a reception at which Spicy Pork and Green Apple Ceviche will be served with Juve Y Camps Brut Rose.

Dinner begins with Bourbon Braised Pork Belly over Fresh Spring Greens with Sweet Sugar Peas, Golden Cherry Tomatoes and a Champagne-Sundried Tomato Vinaigrette paired with Cousino Macul Chardonnay. Next is Dijon Crusted Pork Tenderloin sliced over Cheddar Bacon Grits with Beer Braised Arugula and a Maple-“Red-Eye” Gravy served with High Note Malbec. Main course is Absinthe Braised Pork Shoulder with Bacon Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Gorgonzola Whipped Potatoes and a Black Cherry-Black Pepper Demiglace paired with Renacer Punto Final Malbec.

For dessert is an Amaretto-Coffee Cheesecake with Bacon-Graham Cracker Crust and a Dark Chocolate Glaze served with Cousino Macul Antiguas Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon.

Wine Dinner with Winemaker at Stella

Stella Modern Italian, 1201 N Walker Ave., will host a special wine dinner with winemaker and owner of Elyse Winery, Ray Coursen, on Monday at 6:30 p.m.

Cost for the multicourse meal and paired wines is $85 plus tax and gratuity. The bar opens at 6 p.m., and reservations are required. For more information, call 235-2200.
