A NEW DEAL

Rococo Restaurant and Fine Wine has entered an agreement with Photo Art Studios to present Rococo at the Plaza.

Rococo will hold events at the studio, 1727 NW 16, starting May 14 with a preparty for Lyric Theatre's presentation of “Steel Magnolias.” Cost is $45 and includes a ticket to the show and heavy hors d'oeuvres. A cash bar also will be available. The party starts at 5 p.m., the curtain rises at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at Lyric box office, 524-9312.

Chef/owner Bruce Rinehart said the partnership also will include private dinners, cooking classes and parties to support Lyric Theatre and the Plaza district. For more information about booking an event, call 528-2824.


CAFE NOVA CHEF MOVES TO BOLERO

Chef Vince Howard is the new executive chef at Bolero Tapas Bar and Grill. He leaves Cafe Nova after more than 20 years off and on with the Deep Fork Group.

Bolero, 200 S Oklahoma, is owned by chef Curtis Bramlett and Grant Desher. It opened Nov. 1 in Bricktown, and Howard said he's excited about the challenge and opportunity to mesh his focus on fresh, local ingredients with Spanish cuisine. He also said tapas will be half-price during Redhawks games.

Longtime chef John Gatewood will oversee the kitchen at Cafe Nova, 4308 N Western, for the time being. Deep Fork Group also owns The Wedge Pizzeria, The Mantel Wine Bar and Bistro, Charlie Newton's, Chica's Mexican Cafe and the Deep Fork Grill.
