Defensive end Ogbonnia Okoronwu has verbally committed to play football at Oklahoma State, according to FOXSportsNEXT.com. The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder chose the Cowboys over Washington State, Texas Tech, SMU and Wake Forest. He had 50 tackles, 13 for minus yards, as a junior for Alief Taylor High School in Houston.

FOXSportsNEXT.com reported a member of the Alief Taylor coaching staff said OSU “was the offer he was waiting for.” Okoronwu reportedly chose Oklahoma State because he would remain a rushing end. Some of the other schools wanted to convert Okoronwu to linebacker.
