Forecast: a fair start for fair, football

There is only a slight chance of rain in the forecast as the Oklahoma State Fair opens today and a full schedule of football games awaits fans this weekend.

There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms today in the southeast, the National Weather Service says.

Highs should range from the low 80s in the southeast to the mid-90s in the Panhandle.

It should be partly cloudy tonight, with lows from the mid-50s to mid-60s.

Partly cloudy skies are expected Friday, with a slight chance of rain and storms through the state.

Highs are forecast to range from the low 70s to around 90.

Saturday's outlook is for partly cloudy skies, lows from the upper 40s to mid-60s and highs from the low 70s to mid-80s.

For Sunday, it should be partly cloudy, with lows from the mid-50s to mid-60s and highs from around 80 to near 90.

Monday's forecast is for mostly clear skies, with lows from the low 60s to low 70s and highs from the low 80s to low 90s.
