ATOKA — A former assistant football coach and biology teacher accused of exchanging better grades for sexual favors is charged with rape and other sex-related crimes, a prosecutor said Friday.
Casey Hauff, 32, was charged Thursday in Atoka County District Court with two counts of second-degree rape, four counts of solicitation of a minor, two counts of sexual battery, forcible sodomy, showing obscene material to a minor and lewd or indecent proposals to a child under the age of 16.
“The victims were all students in his classes,” District Attorney Emily Redman said.
Redman said Hauff resigned from his position at Atoka High School during the investigation.
Hauff surrendered to authorities Friday and is free on $250,000 bail.
He is accused of having sex on his classroom desk and engaging in other sex-related activities in his classroom with five female students, according to an arrest affidavit.
During one sexual encounter, Hauff forced the victim to hide in a closet when someone came to the classroom door. Hauff instructed the student to wait in the closet for a time after he left the room. The student waited 10 minutes and then left the classroom, the affidavit states.
A trash can liner from Hauff's class confirmed presence of his sperm, the affidavit states.
At Hauff's urging, the teenage girls would text him photographs of themselves either partially or completely nude in exchange for a higher grade, a probable cause affidavit states. Hauff also is accused of sending nude photographs of himself to the students.
He began using a student intern's cellphone after his wife began checking his phone, the affidavit states.
Hauff told one of the victims “he had a few other girls he messed with at school,” although “he usually waited until the girls graduated, but he would make an exception for her and a few others,” the affidavit states.
