During the plea hearing and in court documents, Kevin Bennett Holt, 48, of Achille, said he intentionally used unreasonable force when he electronically shocked the detainee while the person was strapped in a restraint chair. Holt also admitted that his unlawful Taser deployment injured the victim, according to a Justice Department news release.

Holt faces a maximum penalty of up to 10 years imprisonment and a maximum fine of $250,000, officials said.
