LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — Former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka paid a visit to the team's practice facility and spoke to the team after they completed their routines.
Ditka remains a hero to Bears fans for leading the team to their only Super Bowl win after the 1985 season. The television sports analyst appears to have made an impression on Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, who said Ditka's talk was a good one.
Cutler said Ditka echoed the same things current coach Marc Trestman says daily.
Trestman said he reached out to Ditka last week, inviting him to spend time with the team. He said Ditka's message was a great one about relationships among teammates and camaraderie, with money being the least significant portion of it.
